Amphibious Medics On-Call

When you need a rapid response from a highly skilled on-call medic, Amphibious Medics is there. Whether you request a set medic or an event medic, every incident will involve multiple Amphibious Medics personnel to ensure fast and efficient service. We created the On-Call program in response to clients whose budget could not support a full-time, on-site health and safety medical technician (HSMT).

Our On-Call Support Commitment

Amphibious Medic’s on-call commitment to you includes:
  • Standby paramedic coverage for your employee population, regardless of a project location or size
  • 24/7/365 dedicated dispatch center with immediate activation of service for any incident
  • 24/7/365 dedicated medical coordinator as your point of contact throughout the incident

On-Call Medic Services

Our on-call medics know that the seconds matter when responding to an emergency. But what happens after we render first aid counts, too. So while an employee's injury is our priority, our follow-up services give you and your employee peace of mind.

Highly Trained Technicians

We train our set and event medics on our Incident Recordability Avoidance and Mitigation Program (IRAMP), which follows a medical protocol written and reviewed by board-certified physicians.

IRAMP Benefits:

  • Reduces the risk of unnecessary over-treatment
  • Decreases the likelihood of an unnecessary recordable injury
  • Reduces the need to file a time-loss worker’s compensation claim

Ongoing Communication

We assign every on-call incident to a dedicated coordinator, or incident commander.

The incident commander’s role is to:
  • Act as liaison between your site personnel and Amphibious Medics’ higher Medical Directorship (if necessary)
  • Provide the incident paperwork upon call completion
  • Remain accessible as you communicate with us and update changes during the incident

Incident Follow-up

After a standby paramedic treats the injured employee, they will return the employee to work. But following up with your injured employee is critical in maintaining a mitigated status.

The goals of incident follow-up include:
  • Thoroughly assess the status of the employee’s injury
  • Track recovery
  • Maintain non-recordable status

Occupational Health Services

Our on-demand occupational health services can save time for you and your employees.

A medical technician can perform the following services on-site:
  • Thoroughly assess the status of the employee’s injury
  • Track recovery
  • Maintain non-recordable status
  • Collect specimens
  • Test for drugs and alcohol
  • Complete screenings
  • Perform audiometric exams
  • Give vaccinations
  • Conduct pre-employment fit-for-duty exams
  • Provide health and wellness clinics
